We don’t accept returns on used candles or soaps, but if something arrives damaged or you’re not satisfied with your order, please let us know as soon as possible within 14 days of the package’s arrival. We’ll make it right.
Every Room Candle Co. product is made by hand by our founder, Justin Burdett. Justin is a former nationally-acclaimed chef and cheesemaker who brings that same sensory focus and attention to detail to candle and soap making.

Yes! We offer local pickup in Chapel Hill, NC. You can select this option at checkout, and we’ll email you when your order is ready.
Currently, we only ship within the United States. If you’re outside the U.S. and interested in placing an order, send us a note – we’d love to know where you’re coming from and would be happy to arrange a special shipment for an added fee.

No. All of our candles are made with a blend of beeswax, soy wax, and coconut wax. No paraffin, ever.
We recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. This helps ensure an even melt pool and extends the life of the candle.
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use, and always keep the candle free of debris like match heads or wick trimmings. This reduces smoke and helps the candle burn more evenly.
Yes. We use a blend of natural beeswax, soy wax, and coconut wax, which can occasionally produce small imperfections. These don’t affect performance and are part of the charm of small-batch candles made without additives.
Absolutely. When about half an inch of wax remains, it's time to retire the candle. Clean out the jar with warm, soapy water and reuse it however you like – pens, plants, q-tips, you name it.
